Good Deeds

Hi everyone, it’s me Michelle. I hope you guys are all doing well today. I wanted to talk to you about this picture that I have here. So it’s based on what I wanted to talk about was good deeds, sharing good deeds with others, and hopefully sometime today we can all find a little good deed to do for someone else. When we step outside ourselves and do something for God, it’s amazing how that brings such joy to our lives and gets us off ourself. I think sometimes we’re so focused on our problems, our life, our children, our world, when if we can just focus, refocus on someone else and see what we can do for them, just to brighten their day, encourage them, give them a lift, give them a ride, pray for them. It’s amazing the power of God can go to work for them and for us. It builds up a little treasury in your spirit and you just continue to want to do that for other people.

And this photo is about my friend Belinda at church and how her and I, we met in the summertime in August, I believe, was her first day. I was probably a month there at church and she came in and I could see that she was very broken and she actually sat right next to me. Didn’t know her, but I could just see tears coming down her face. And you know that when somebody comes in in that state, there’s something wrong and God just happened to place her right there. And I didn’t even know her, but I took her hand and I said, let me pray for you. And I just prayed over her and she just started bawling. But she was so comforted by me taking her hand and praying for her that we chatted after for a minute and God just brought her to this place of trust with me and we just started talking and we started meeting every week after that for just five or ten minutes. And it’s amazing how we opened up to each other and now we’re friends and we sit next to each other and we’re doing the same for people that come through those doors. So that’s what that photo is about and what it led to and how God has worked in her life. So that’s what I wanted to share with you, just how you could be a good deed doer to someone else today.
