Arise and Shine
Wake up, O sleeper. Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. — Ephesians 5:14
Some people are concerned about the current darkness America finds itself in, and I am concerned as well. I also know that times of trial and struggle, historically, bring great seasons of revival as men and women go to their knees and cry out to God for divine wisdom and help. Scripture says, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14
As a sleeping giant, it’s time for the church to arise. Isaiah 60:1-2 says, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples. But the Lord rises upon you, and his glory appears over you.” We have been called to be light to this world.
Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. — Isaiah 60:3
Hang on. I believe we are on the verge of one of the greatest revivals the world has ever known.
Pray
Lord, I pray that your people have the courage to arise. I pray that we may be empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the light of this world. Guide us, walk with us, protect us, and may we follow after your light. In your name, we pray. Amen.
