A life of faith is a life that demonstrates we are children of God. Luke 6:46
Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?
As Christians, we are called to be doers of The Word and not only hearers. If we believe what He has said and what the scriptures teach us, we will be more intentional in spending more time getting to know God and training ourselves to do what is good and pleasing to God.
My friend, the world is going to try to pull you down. Your desires and your flesh are going to be against the things of the Spirit. There is a spiritual battle going on every time we decide to honor the Lord, but remember that we are not alone. We have the Spirit of the living God living in us.
John 14:15-17
“If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.”
You and I are children of God, so let’s make our paths straight and walk according to our call in Jesus Christ.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your guidance and strength. Lord, help us to not only hear Your Word but to live it out each day in our lives. Grant us the courage to follow Your commandments and the wisdom to apply Your teachings in our actions.
Father, we pray that You fill us with the Holy Spirit, empowering us to be faithful doers of Your Word. Open our eyes to see the opportunities around us to serve, to love, and to be a light in this world. May our faith be evident through our deeds, reflecting Your grace and compassion.
In Jesus’ name, we pray
Amen
